Est. 1975, New England Drywall was founded in East Providence, RI by Paul F. Savard, a proud Vietnam veteran with a strong work ethic and a vision for quality craftsmanship. Drawing on the discipline, leadership, and dedication he honed during his military service, Paul built the company from the ground up with a single goal: to deliver exceptional drywall services rooted in integrity, precision, and professionalism.

Throughout the decades, the company expanded its capabilities and its team, while staying true to its core values. Whether working on large-scale commercial projects or public sector developments, New England Drywall consistently demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of each client's unique needs.

In 2008, Steven J. Benfeito purchased New England Drywall, carrying forward the company’s legacy of quality and commitment. With a deep respect for the foundation built by his father-in-law, Steven brought fresh energy and vision to the business—modernizing operations, expanding services, and strengthening relationships across the region. Under his leadership, the company has continued to thrive, remaining a trusted name in drywall contracting throughout New England
